Difficulty Notes
Not on the LPU belt ranking list. Walmart house brand (Hyper Tough). 4-pin brass cylinder with no security pins. White belt difficulty at best — good warm-up lock for getting hands reacquainted with tension and pin feedback.
Picking Notes
Basic 4-pin with all standard pins. Should fall to SPP quickly. Raking will also work. Sloppy tolerances typical of budget laminated locks — loose feedback, pins may feel mushy. Good for warm-up reps, not for learning technique.
Tension Tips
BOK tension, moderate pressure. Loose tolerances mean you can get away with heavier tension than you'd use on a Brinks or Master Lock.
False Set Behavior
No security pins, so no real false sets. If the core rotates, it's probably open.
Bitting Variance
Budget Chinese manufacturing — tolerances vary wildly between specimens. Some may be laughably easy, others slightly less so.
Gutting Notes
Laminated body means it's not designed to come apart easily. Not worth gutting — you know what's inside: 4 standard pins.
Recommended Tools
- Any hook in 0.025
- BOK tension wrench
- Bogota rake (for speed)
