Difficulty Notes

Rated 'green belt' level. Not the easiest lock to start with. Out of five attempts by one user, only one was opened successfully in a long period.

Sources (r/lockpicking):
- u/TheSchlubb (2pts): 'Burg Wächter makes a few green belt level locks... Profi 116/40 all fit the bill.'
- u/Moturist (1pts): 'Burg Wächter Profi 116/50 is rated green belt and is not the easiest lock to start with.'
- u/Bavalop (2pts): 'Out of five, I only opened one so far and that has been a while ago.'
[confidence: high]

Picking Notes

Oversetting spooled pins is difficult due to the keyway; oversetting forces a complete reset and restart. The lock provides good feedback.

Sources (r/lockpicking):
- u/KilroyMcKnallsky (2pts): 'to get that into a false set, you'd have to significantly overset it, which is pretty hard with that key way.'
- u/Moturist (1pts): '...which make it very hard to recover from an overset, basically forcing you to a complete reset and start over again.'
- u/LowkeyFlex_ (1pts): '...it gives way better feedback...'
[confidence: medium]

Bitting Variance

Manufacturing variations exist between models (e.g., 116/30, 116/40, 116/50, PC 50). The PC 50 variant is criticized as a 'disgrace to the brand' compared to the Diamant series. The lock can be opened with shims. Some users note the keyway makes oversetting difficult. The 116/50 is generally preferred over the 64TI for feedback and fun factor.
